CGIU 2012

Inspire, connect, and empower a community of global leaders to forge solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. This is the motto of the Clinton Global Initiative. This past weekend I was lucky enough to take part of this amazing conference promoting global change. Being around hundreds of young twenty somethings all wanting change in this broken world was really encouraging. Maybe our generation isn't so lost after all. I feel like my desire to influence a better world has been reignited and the possibility of realizing it has been reaffirmed. We can help people in need as long as we're willing to try. As a great former president once said, don't stop thinking about tomorrow.

The Justice Conference: Love is a Thread

Looks like its going to be an amazing conference with great speakers! A little blurb from their site:

"The Justice Conference 2012 is the second annual international gathering of advocates, activists, artists, professors, professionals, prophets, pastors, students and stay-at-home moms working to restore the fabric of justice. For some it means speaking. For others it means singing. For some it means going. For others it means giving. For all, it means living with mercy and love."

Plus did I mention its being held in Portland?! February 24-25, who wants to go with me?

Finally, my computer is fixed....hopefully. Here is a post that I've been meaning do ever since I got back from Canada. The kids in Gitanyow were amazing and it really was a blessing to get a chance to go. Hopefully I'll get that same privilege sometime in the future. I really didn't get a chance to take too many photos which is kind of a shame, but it was only because I was too busy playing with everyone :). I did leave my charger there so this might be the last set until I get another charger. Oh well, for now here are a few pictures of the kids.
